I decided to become a massage therapist because I love taking care of others. I finished massage school in 2003 and have worked in several different types of massage establishments since then. I have worked in high end spas, chiropractic clinics, therapy clinics and provided massage through my own company as well.
I truly love my profession because it does not matter where you are practicing or the type of clients or patients you see, I am able to provide for another’s needs on a most basic level.
I have attended MD Anderson’s Oncology Training for Massage Therapists and an Oncology specialization course called: Oncology Massage Therapy: Caring for Clients with Cancer. I am also a member of the Society for Oncology Massage Therapists (S4OM). I am passionate about providing this type of massage and look forward to learning as much as I can to help better serve my clients.
In 2014, I will continue volunteering my time with the Oncology Massage Alliance and take a Manual Lymphatic Drainage Certification (MLD) course. This course will help me to continue providing healing and intuitive massages that sooth, comfort and heal those that I work with.
