Gail attended the Lauterstein-School of Massage in Austin Texas in 2004 completing the 550 hour program. She went on to become nationally certified in the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork in 2005 and has over 400 hours in additional education in massage therapy. Additional training includes the Chikly Institute of Lymphatic Drainage, Tracy Walton’s Oncology Massage 4 day workshop, and 84 hours of Kinesiology coursework at Ashland Institute of Massage in Oregon in 2012, and Gayle McDonald’s “Massage for People Living with Cancer” in 2013, and “Massage in the Oncology Setting” which provided the opportunity to work with patients undergoing chemo, radiation, surgery, bone marrow transplantations at OHSU, Portland in 2014.
Gail is a Professional Member of the Society for Oncology Massage. She works extensively with the elderly and oncology clients as well as providing therapeutic massages for her other clientele. She currently works for the Asante Ashland Community Hospital, Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center and has a private practice in the Rogue Valley area of Southern Oregon.
Gail received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences in 1978 at Western Washington University. In 1995 she received her Master’s degree in Library and Information Science at the University of Texas at Austin and brings to the program 27 years experience as a project manager, volunteer coordinator, research fellow, records manager, archivist, and nursing home activity director.
