Lisa graduated from Lewis and Clark College in 1983 with a B.S. in Psychology. In 2011, she embarked on a major career change and completed the 650 hour Professional Massage Training program at Ashland Institute of Massage. She began her practice at the Rogue Valley Manor with a focus on working with an elderly, and sometimes medically frail, client population. She continues to be drawn to that work, including providing comfort based massage to oncology clients. In order to further her skill and knowledge base she has completed Gayle McDonald’s class, Massage for People Living with Cancer, a Level 1 workshop in Compassionate Touch, and is scheduled to complete a Level 2 Compassionate Touch workshop in October 2013 to obtain her practitioner certification from that organization. Professional affiliations include membership in Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP) and Oncology Massage Alliance. She is in the process of becoming a member of the Society 4 Oncology Massage.
