Monica began her journey studying with Lauterstein-Conway Massage Therapy School in 2001, and continued her study at the Austin Institute of Massage and Spa Therapies in Round Rock, TX, graduating in 2014. She has completed the Advanced Program at Lauterstein-Conway receiving certifications in Orthopedic Assessment and Massage, Deep Massage the Lauterstein Method, along with a deeper knowledge of Zero Balancing and other modalities. She has also become certified in Kate Jordan’s Bodywork for the childbearing years and offers prenatal, labor support, and postpartum massage. She has continued her education attending Tracy Walton’s 32 hour “Oncology Massage Therapy: Caring for Clients with Cancer” workshop, and is working on certification in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Aromatherapy, and Zero Balancing.
Monica has a private practice in Central Texas working with clients to build a custom approach to massage therapy tailored to each client’s individual goals. From an early age she began to understand the importance of bodywork and its profound effects on herself and those around her, such as: being able to heal faster from injury, managing chronic issues, enhancement to quality of life, and making day to day activities easier and more manageable. Seeing this not only sparked a curiosity, but fulfilled a desire to help others live a better life, holistically. She is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association, Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals, and is excited to be a member of Oncology Massage Alliance.
