Sharie attended Wellness Skills in Fort Worth, TX, was licensed in 1995 and has since received advanced training in multiple modalities. In private practice, her offered massage integrates many techniques, depending on the person’s needs. These techniques may include any combination of Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Acupressure, Trigger Point, Shiatsu, Myo-Facial Release, Therapeutic /Medical Massage, Oncology Massage, Stretching, and/or Reflexology.
Sharie joined the Oncology Massage Alliance after taking Tracy Walton’s Oncology Massage course in 2014. Sharie has a bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Disorders/Asian Studies and is a licensed Social Worker. She carries licenses as a Massage Therapist, Massage Therapy Instructor, and Massage Therapy Continuing Education Provider. She is currently in the process of putting some of her curriculum in place online and is also setting up classes at UT Austin.
Her My other interests include: volunteering to “pet” the resident cats at the Central Texas Cat Hospital and volunteering as a Master Naturalist. She also writes a blog telling people how to use natural remedies to fight the Hepatitis C Virus, attends water aerobics classes, and sells Nerium age-defying skin treatment.
Her sole companion, Zen, is a lynx-point mix Siamese cat born with atrophied retinas. She and Zen go to Houston often to help her 89 year old Mother, who is still living independently.
